Royalty Free Music Mingles with the Rich and PowerPoint

This week we exhibited at PowerPoint Live in New Orleans and learned a ton. Here are some PowerPoint music techniques used by the pros to enhance slideshows with audio. Big thanks to for sharing these incredibly smart applications for royalty free PowerPoint Slideshow music.

1) Pre-show sound:

Immediately set the mood as your attendees enter the room and get seated. Try unobtrusive, yet energetic music that prepares the mind for learning: "Background Music for the Digital Age" (#SCUND07) http://www.royaltyfreemusic.com/background-music-for-the-digital-age.html is a great place to start.

2) Intermission sound:

As soon as your last slide is finished, send the message to your audience that it's now break-time. Their brains need a rest and they should say hello to the person seated next to them. Try royalty free jazz music that’s peppy, yet casual such as “Vintage Jazz Moods (#RFM1115)” http://www.royaltyfreemusic.com/vintage-jazz-moods.html

3) Book-ending:

If your slideshows are distributed via web and viewed in multiple locations, you're probably already enhancing your show with recorded voice-over. With a music loop embedded only in your first slide, you can politely say, "Please Adjust your volume. We're about to speak." By embedding that same music loop into your last slide, you'll communicate a sense of finality to your audience. Here is a fantastic stock music CD of slideshow music that will easily import into PowerPoint in WAV format and loop seamlessly in your show once set to "repeat:" "Corporate & News Loops (#RFM1479)" http://www.royaltyfreemusic.com/corporate-n-news-loops-1.html
