Higher Quality Elevator Music

I bet you have been in an elevator lately. Have you noticed that the music you hear on elevators now is not like the cliched, much maligned elevator music that we've been listening to since the late 1950s? Why is the music different and better now? Well, that music was created as a product of the "white-collar-ization" of America in the very late 1950s and early 1960s. It had been designed to create a perfect, efficient, non-jarring, background soundtrack for business and retail. Modernism touched architecture, industrial design, and business practices. This milquetoast soundtrack was part of that modernism. Well, now consumers are savvier and music is hipper. This has caused sound design companies to seek out licensed tracks, contemporary music you hear on the radio, or music that emulates licensed tracks to make up the background music libraries. Royalty Free Music.com has created such music that fits into today's workplace and pleases today's discerning elevator jockey. Two albums -- http://www.royaltyfreemusic.com/Diet-Pop.html and http://www.royaltyfreemusic.com/elevator-music.html feature elevator music that will appeal to many. Also, listen to what we've done to improve the quality of music for PowerPoint presentations and PowerPoint presentation music.
