A Question about Unconventional Music for Corporate Videos

"I'm tired of using the same kind of music in every one of my corporate videos. What's the safest way to try something new?"

Fred, WI

There's no middle ground on this one, Fred. You gotta go all in. Using a goofy big band track for your super-conservative client's training video is exactly the out-of-the-box thinking they're paying you for. And let's be honest. In the post-MTV age, doesn't anything go?

Did you see the super bloody gunfight in Face Off, featuring Nicolas Cage and John Travolta? While the bad guy's penthouse is getting absolutely pummeled in machine-gun fire, we only hear what a 10-year old boy is hearing through his headphones to escape the noise: Olivia-Newton John beautifully crooning "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Goosebumps, dude.

To go with your footage of your client pummeling their competition with machine-gun fire, may I suggest "The Swan" featured on our new CD Big Ensemble Classics (#SC101320). This album also Scottish Bagpipe Music as well as Gospel Music public domain.
