Additional Volume Details
Ambient Drama Part 1 is an amazing collection of terrifying royalty free ambient music, ideal for spooky Web sites, film/video projects or as presentation music for any disturbing or paranormal subject.
The album opens with "Criminal Mind", a little murky and a lot mysterious – slow and methodical, but spooky, with layered chords and effects.
Next up, visit the way-out in "Forgotten Realms", where synth strains modulate with delicate wooden percussion in a moody track.
More insistently menacing, "Questionable Motive" features uneven tempo and synth strains with light percussion. It's a great, creepy stalking tune.
Maybe that nice man asking to walk you the car is someone you should run from instead. "Hidden Agenda" offers chunky percussion and a mix of sound effects and synth to create a mood of chaos and danger.
Menace in a parking deck or any shadowy enclosed space -- that's "Incident", in which claustrophobia induced by predatory synth echo keeps the potential victim on the run, looking desperately over their shoulder.
"Lurk" uses minimalist bongo percussion, maracas, a sinister synth line, and various sound effects to create a frightening and tense track.
A sustained note, undulating and echoey, conjures a mood of suspense and fear, perhaps a bad flashback or reoccurring dream, in "Bittersweet Memory".
In "Minds Eye", sparse piano notes and synth strains weave an uncomfortable fabric of worry and trepidation. The character in this scene insists on proceeding down the darkened hallway, despite the sense that something very bad is about to happen.
Sustained, layered synth notes in "Surreal Fantasy" offer a Night Gallery atmosphere of distortion and misty images. Someone has definitely fallen through the looking glass. The mood is continued in "City of Glass ", where chime-like notes sound in a mysterious, discordant blend, as if warning of an impending haunting.
Pained, solitary piano notes deliver struggle and strife in "Human Condition", in which there is either a funeral or a divorce underway. Likewise, "Alone Again" creates an atmosphere of isolation, this time with layered and ethereal synth chords.
Disturbing, industrial notes sound amid sustained, haunting synth chords in "Shadows". No one at this party is going to have a good time. More ambient discord with industrial accents is featured in the very slow and morbidly deep track, "In the Dark".
Sensuous funky electro-percussion with deep synth chords makes "Dementia" the perfect track for a club scene or for any setting in which sex and danger intermingle.
The sounds of bamboo and bad news dominate in "Watery Grave", as if a foul wind were blowing countless wooden chimes -- discord and chaos in the jungle. "Animal Sacrifice" continues the nasty vibe, with bongo percussion, high synth notes, and industrial effects.
Pounding on metal plates and deep synth notes provide the menace in "Ominous Presence". This is not a person you want to make the scene with.
High, ethereal and discordant notes provide the sound of a good haunting in "Apparition". But a baser brand of paranormal is featured with industrial swells and primitive percussion in "Poisoned Air" and "Distant Approach", providing great ambient menace and the feel of urban decay. In the post-apocalyptic "Reactor Mist" and "Unveiling" there is no one left to operate the machinery – all is dark and rusty.
If your project calls for some evisceration, then "Dragging Entrails" is the track you've been looking for. The squish and squash of tissue has no royalty free equal!
Unearthly synth wails set teeth on edge in "Ghostly Cry" and "Harmful Thoughts", while the voice samples under synth chords of "Voices in My Head" offer effective background for psychotic episodes. "Wisps", "Fog of Despair" and "They Approach" frazzle nerves with demonic synth moaning and mumbling
Mystery and suspense emerge out of the tracks of devilish possession with "Contemplation", "Mystery Beat" and "Dream Groove", while additional ambient discomfort is offered in "Child's Nightmare" "Water Torture" "Breathless" and "Glass Dream". In these four tracks, drone texture blends with various percussive elements.
The album ends with four nightmare texture tracks of varying frequencies and tones that make you want to cover your ears and scream: "Ghosts", "Mind Chasm", "Twisting Mixture" and "Ocean Death".
Need we say more? Ambient Drama Part 1 is not a feel-good collection, folks, but it is an awesome assortment of production music for any project involving horror or suspense. With 44 unique tracks, it is also ideal hold music for your haunted house and perfect for any film, video or multimedia piece requiring disturbing background music .
